Coping with Covid-19

Dear friends

This is a quick reflection on the last few months as we entered a new a terrifying time for us all. We were just getting ready to start a new year of events and were looking forward to meeting new people and seeing old friends when Covid 19 stopped everything in it's tracks. Over the coming weeks and months watching daily as so many people suffered left me feeling unable to paint or even think about it.

We were lucky in that we didn't lose jobs as so many others did but none the less the toll it seemed to take on my creativity was stark. Working many more hours under significantly more stress to ensure those we support remained safe kept us going. I can say that where i work everyone put the effort in to ensure those we support remained safe and healthy despite what was going on in the world around us. I am eternally grateful to those people!

As our province of Nova Scotia seemed to start getting to grips with the pandemic and restrictions started to loosen i started to feel a little more like myself again so i started to pick up the brush and completed my 3rd in my whimsical lighthouse series as well as completing my "Shut the Front Door" series. I have also started my 4th and final lighthouse in the series and have started a series of 4 funky looking houses with my own twist. We shall see where they take me ;)

As of writing this we have completed our first Pugwash farmers market on the 27th June. We will be hopefully doing both the farmers market in Pugwash and also The Grain in Tatamagouche throughout the summer months so keep an eye out for us at both locations on Saturday mornings.

We have opened an online store although not all products are on it yet. You can find it on my website or through my Facebook page. I never quite realized just how much work goes into creating an online store and getting it up and running. It's a long process for sure!

Lastly i would like to thank all of you who have supported my work over the last few years. It means so much to me. I hope to see you all again very soon.

Have a great summer 2020!
